The carbon footprint is a structuring step; it sets the starting point for a decarbonization strategy and will contribute to reducing the environmental impact of our clients. It addresses regulatory challenges but above all those of competitiveness and image.

What prompted you to select Sami to support you in this approach? The performance of the platform? The support of the consultants?

Sami offers a complete solution adapted to all market segments. As a reference player, it offers both the support of a consultant and software to measure greenhouse gas emissions, define a reduction trajectory, and manage an action plan, in order to get into gear.

Do you condition some of your loans (or better conditions) on a commitment from your clients to this decarbonization approach?

Non-financial criteria will be integrated into the analysis of credit files. We are currently tracking investments that meet the objectives of the Green Taxonomy, and our advisors are conducting strategic ESG interviews to identify risks and opportunities. It is in this context that we can offer the SAMI solution to support our clients in their transition.

Is this decarbonization challenge increasingly coming up in discussions between your relationship managers and your clients?

The carbon footprint is an unavoidable subject today, and we have an objective of "simplification" for our clients. The workshops and training sessions provided for our clients and employees have helped to overcome obstacles.

What are the first feedback from your clients engaged in a carbon footprint and climate strategy with Sami?

Clients do not always have the necessary resources internally to carry out this first step. The platform allows them to collect data in a simplified and accelerated manner, to define a trajectory, and to be autonomous on certain subjects such as communication thanks to the Kit provided.
