The AFNOR Group chooses the "modern" and "reliable" Sami software to support its clients

To support its clients, including SMEs, in their double materiality analysis and gap analysis, the AFNOR Group has selected the Sami software. Clients and consultants alike are winners. Lucas Dotti, commercial engineer of the AFNOR Group, looks back at the strengths of Sami's ESG Hub.

With Sami

What use do you make of Sami's ESG Hub?

For a few months now, we have been supporting several of our clients in the construction of their CSRD report with Sami's ESG Hub, using more specifically the double materiality and gap analysis module.

Why did you choose the Sami software?

We needed a tool that was both modern, mature i.e. already reliable and obviously with the best quality-price ratio. Moreover, we have paid very close attention to not adding complexity and therefore we were looking for a software that is easy to use for our consultants and the clients we support.

Do you use other software for double materiality and gap analysis?

No, we have chosen to select only the Sami solution in order not to scatter.

What makes Sami's ESG Hub strong?

First of all, I find it very easy to get to grips with, with a well-thought-out user interface.

The module on double materiality in particular is formidable. It is pleasant to use, practical and with great freedom given to consultants to customize questions for stakeholders, customize the company's issues, add or modify impacts, risks and opportunities (IRO). In short, the structure is not rigid.

And our consultants give the same feedback: it's a very practical tool that therefore saves time.

Is this time saving an essential element?

Yes it is crucial, it allows to reduce the number of consultant days and therefore to reduce the budget for companies while offering increased quality of support. I'll give you an example: the deliverables from the software are very pleasant and easy to read, which is an important point as it contributes to the client's better understanding of the project and its sustainability issues. Everyone is a winner. There is no comparison possible between an Excel spreadsheet and what the software allows!

Can we talk about the complementarity of the software with your offer?

It is a solution that combines very well with ours: Sami with software expertise and on our side the expertise of our consultants. It is a mistake to see the work on CSRD and even more generally on CSR with an all-consultant solution or an all-software solution. It is smart to associate the two and Sami's ESG Hub allows this.

What types of companies do you support with the Sami software?

These are mainly SMEs at the moment. But the software is also perfectly suited to SMEs or large accounts, which is a strength. It allows to map all types of company structures, including the most complex ones i.e. multi-site or multi-activity for example.

With the Omnibus Directive, will you support companies in their voluntary reporting?

Many of our clients are indeed receiving very specific requests from their stakeholders (investors, suppliers, customers, insurers) who need data on their sustainability. So we will support them in this voluntary reporting, in particular with the VSME standard. And continuing to work with the Sami software!
